35. i was the ultimate cause of my 7th grade math teacher getting fired on the spot after he gave me a paddling for talking in class.
36. i have always felt guilty for him losing his job.
37. to my defense, he was crazy and had never had control of the class. he walked in that day and decided he was going to give a paddleing to anyone who did not obey his every command. i was sick with an ear infection and did not hear his directions and whispered to the person in front of me what we were suppose to be doing. he decided he was going to make an example out of me to prove to the class he was going to follow through with his word. i was devastated. i never saw him again.

isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Wonderful!! I loved reading your 100. You had a wonderful school career-I am glad you are going to finish!! You are a wonderful person and I really struggled with you leaving Reidland too!! I really did not like Mike and Sara for a while just because they were not you and I was mad at Erik for not wanting to move to Texas and still be in a band with Brett. I have healed, mostly because of being able to keep up with you through your blog. And I really love Mike and Sara now too! You are a special lady with lots of talent, but home is a mission field too, don't underestimate it for something "more important". It is easier to plug in and be involved as your kids get older. God will use you in mighty ways!!
Sadly, I have thought of about 20 more things about me since I am done. That may be my next post. It is so hard to think of 100 and then you get on a roll. Do you keep thinking of more?
I don't think you should feel bad about that teacher incident...some should not teach!! I know I had some really bad teachers growing up. More of them were really great.
Hmmm... serious over-achiever! :-) I hope your high school English teacher never reads your blog... she would be appalled at the lack of punctuation! :-)
I read an article recently by Paula Moldenhauer about how when we follow God's calling on our lives as wives and mothers, he still knows the dreams we have and keeps them safe for us. The article ends like this:
I'm learning an important truth: God is the keeper of a mother's dreams. He is the only one who knows how to weave her unique talents and gifts into the landscape of her mothering. He knows the seasons she can reach beyond her family, and the seasons she can't. And He will bring into fullness the dreams He has placed within her in His time and His way. All the Lord brings her through as she is obedient to the call to her children will provide training and a deepening of character that will translate into her other gifts and callings.
Our God can be trusted to take good care of the dreams He has given us. When we lay down our personal goals and sacrifice our time choosing to pour into the lives of our children, we aren't leaving our dreams in the dust. We are simply placing them in the Father's hand and giving Him permission to shape them as He sees fit.
I know it must have been so hard to leave everything you had been working for to help Bret pursue his ministry dreams. God gave you your dreams and is keeping your them safe for his timing. Work on them as you can, and one day He will bring them to completion.
Love you!
thanks for that quote sandy.
and as for the puntuation, i reserved the right in my very first blog not to have to capitalize or puntuate unless it natually happened without me thinking about it. so that's why i never capitalize or puntuate!!!! just in my blog of course.
