isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

i know its been a while.

well that last post should count for a bunch of posts!!!
we had a wonderful retreat. everything went well. there were about 10 or so different ladies who gave their testimony, so to speak. it was so relieving to know that all of them were not as perfect as i had thought they were. i know that must sound horrible, but i have not gotten to know any one here in dallas on a level below "hi, how are you?" in passing. (except ro lesli, crysty, and tricia)
the personal workshop that i planned was really applicable since it was a guided version of writing down your own personal story. we all have a story and it is important to see where God has been in our lives so that we can trust Him for the future. in times of doubt we need only to look back at his faithfulness and be reminded and assured He will be faithful again.
it was a bit frustrating that we only had about 20 minutes for the workshops rather than the 45 min. to an hour that was planned. there was no built in room for speakers going over. (i am so glad for everything that each speaker said and would not have wanted any of them to trim anyo of it down. it just had to made up somewhere) but that wasn't the most frustrating part. there was no real dismissal for the workshops so about 70 % fo the women just stayed atheir lunch tables talking. i understand because i have skipped a session or two before at aconference to have some time to visit and such, but still just a little dissappointing. there wer about 20-25 women that came to it. i think about the same number went to the other two offerings, so...
anyway, i'm over it and it really wasn't that big of a deal. you know what i mean??

i did finally get my house worjk cought back up form the weekend. i was actually amazed that bret did as well at keeping the house straight as he did. it was not destoyed by any means when i returned. i have on load of laundryleft till i'm caught back up.

tomorrow night i am teaching again for the wednesday night women's bible class. it is on women leaders in the bible. melissa lowry is going to speak on anna the prophetess and i am going to do an exercise that i think will be fun and informative. i wll also talk about nother woman i the bible. i have not decide for sure yet. that is for tomorrow's agenda.

you all take care. love you,
summer

While I am so glad to have re-joined the worship team, I am sad to have missed this whole series that you, Laurie & Suzanne have put together. Oh well, I guess it is just another lesson is the fact that you can't do everything!
