yes, this morning, while i was getting dressed, anna found some white out in my desk drawer. it had to be way back in the back so far that i didn't even know i had any. well, she found it, and now has white fingertips. only anna!!! i realized she had done this when i heard the water running in the bathroom sink upstairs. i know that unsupervised water usage upstairs usually means a really wet floor. since we have carpet in all of our bathrooms, that is not a good thing to do! replacing it with tile is one of the first major renovations we want to do. anyway, i ran upstairs to see who was using water and what they were doing. it was anna and she was trying desparately "to get the white off!" well, i didn't quite know how to handle this one, but when i realized she did not like it, i knew the natural consequence was going to work best. "well, anna, you are just going to have to have white fingers all day. they are not pretty, but you made the chioce to put it on your fingers and you are going to have to wear it all day." she DID NOT like this solution, but hopefully she will not be painting her nails with white out anymore.
i got alot done this morning. our registration for our van was supposed to have been renewed last month, but...funds in january were very slim, so i went to get it done today. it was wonderful. the vehicle registration office looked alot like the one in charlotte where i grew up. nothing fancy or sophisticated. a little house turned into a county office. there was no line and one little blue haired woman behind the desk. it was WONDERFUL! i am such a small town girl at heart. afterwards, we got micah's hair cut, went to the bank, got groceries, came home to put them away, and had lunch at Mcdonalds complete with time to play on the slide. now we are home and it is naptime, my favorite time of day. micah and anna are already asleep and bekah is about there. QUIET!!! i love it. i still need to get some stamps, but i did not get to that this morning.
bret's sister christy, had a hysterectomy yesterday morning. her surgery went well, but she is going to be down for a while. we tried to send flowers, but the gift shop there did not have flowers. so, we sent balloons. she will have to stay in the hospital till friday, i wanted her to have something to let her know we were thinking of her and wished we could be there to help.
wednesday night bible class went well. we talked on women leaders in the bible. my friend melissa lowry talked about anna the prophetess. there are only 3 verses in the entire bible about her. melissa gleaned so much from those verses and taught everyone something about anna and awaiting the Messiah. i talked about Deborah the judge. you know, that is a hard one. i had plenty of information to use, but how do you explain God using a woman as a politacal and spiritual leader there. never again in scripture does he do it like that again? it went really well and the women really seemed to enjoy it. it was fun. i really like teaching.
the praise team met during church last night at the Wiggin's house. they are dear friends and supporters of the worship ministry. she is an amazing cook. she made seafood gumbo and vegetable soup and for dessert chocolate and lemon cakes and chocolate cookies. i had to go to church rather than practice, so i thought i was going to miss it. but when i was leaving church, i called bret and he said to come on over. they were just then getting to eat. i went on over and got to have some of all of it. it was absolutely divine!!! deborah is truly an amzing chef.
bret and three other vm guys were on fox 4 news yesterday morning advertising singing valentines that the vm does every year as a fundraiser. it wasn't just any three guys, it was two gold medalists and one who will be this july. they asked him to sing with them. what an honor. the piece was done at 7:45 am. micah and bekah were still seeping, but anna was in the bed with me. we were watching the tv in my room. when bret came on, she was estatic saying "daddy's in your tv, momma!!!" and that is exactly what she thought and still thinks happened. daddy was in my tv. oh, the mind of a child, so innocent, seeing everything just as it appears. i need to be more like that.
i hope you all are having a wonderful day.

isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Tell Anna you have to pair the white liquid paper with a soft pink to have a french manicure. Lilly's favorite thing in life is to paint her fingernails. She is just so bad at it, I can't give in.
I hope you had an awesome weekend!!
