isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

i did it!

well, the evening almost went over without a hitch. more than enough food, the food turned out great. 30+ people turned out and my house was still cleane when they got there. we had 5 tables of 6 plus a few extras. we got 4 tables from church and 24 chairs. i decorated with stiped table clothes on all the tables and a vase of deeep burgandy daisytype flowers as center pieces with green ribbon ties around the vases, very pretty. donna reagan came an hour early and helped tie up my loose ends everywhere. i am so grateful to her. there were 8 kids all together, mine included. we ended up having ham, green beans, hashbrown casserole, mac n' cheese, spinach salad, and sister shubert rolls. it was great. we fit that many people in here just fine, except there was no place the kids could go that we could not hear them. (one of the things i like about the house so i can know what mine are up to.) anyway the time together reflecting on 05 and visioning for 06 went well, but the best part was singing and prayer time. our living room has awesome acoustics. so many prayed blessing over our household. i feel like the house has been christened in more ways than one.
but the hitch was that about 30 min. before it was over, anna began crying witha an ear ache. before the night was through she had thrown up all over me. pitiful. this happened after everyone was gone, thank goodness. i guess i will be calling the doctor in the morning for both my girls. bekah has a terrible cold that has gone to her chest a little. i hope we don't have rsv. is has been going around. pray for my kids to get well soon and that i don't get it so i can take of them better.
it was fun to be on the hostessing side of things again. it has been a while. i did well, if i do say so myself. with a lot of encouragement and support from my mom. (thanks mom!) now i can get to some other things i've been wanting to do. have a great week blog family,
summer

I never doubted you for a minute...you are a wonderful hostess!! You instantly put people at ease, the gift of hospitality.

Sorry to hear your babes are sick...I hate it when the kiddos get sick!
