yesterday, bret went to church to help move the tv in the toddler room and to fix the video cabling for the tv's throughout the church that broadcast the service and run announcements). he had a performance with his quartet at 6:30 and then he came home and we met some friends of ours at luigi's. all i can say is YUM,YUM!!! i is an authentic italian restaurant. bret and i shared the shrimp avino. it was amazing. the house salad with house dressing was incredible. and the bread.....made me want to hurt myself... so good. it is a mile from our house, so...we will have to use some self control now that we know that place is there!
church was ok today, but too many techinical difficulties. it really frustrates me because when there are technological problems, bret gets the heat though he had no control over any of it (someone else who was running it did, but coulddn't figure things out.) most of the time its no body's fault, but people just don't like to listen to sound feedback and not be able to hear someone when their mic does not work. it is very distracting, i understand that, but it's not bret's fault. anyway, that's just the lioness coming out in me.
how about you all. how does it affect you when someone, anyone, is not "treating your husband or kids right?" the hair raises on my neck and i feel like i could just rip somebody's eyes out. of course i've never done that, YET, but have had a few thoughts from time to time. people get too self absorbed in my opinion and think that their opinion is the only one that matters. if people would just step back and realize we all have problems, make mistakes and none of us are proud of them and we all know when we've messed up and don't really need others rubbing our noses in it. sorry. this is not really a rant. and bret has not been mistreated. i just would rather he always receive positive feedback rather than negative. no one has been mean, i just have been wounded too many times in the past and when such things happen, i become afraid it might happen again and i feel i need to go into protection mode. i was wondering if i'm the only one or if any of you get similar feelings.
and, i promise to get a the picture of my hair, but i waiting till i have a good hairday to have bret take my picture!!! lol. well, i promise to get it to you all sooner than later.

isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

It's good to know that I have a great protector though I wouldn't suggest ripping people's eyes out.
