friday is bret's day off. that's really nice because we hardly see him on sunday. we can't sit together or anything, so friday is nice. we layed around and chilled most of the morning. (i took a nap while the kids did, 2 1/2 hours!!!!!) then we continued to finish cleaning our house. we did it. everything is done, bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, .....just a few minor things and we will be ready for the praise team dinner on sunday.
i am cooking for 25+ people. i am very excited. we are going to sam's tomorrow and making everything tomorrow. all i will have to do is put the casseroles in the oven sunday afternoon and brown the rolls. the menu is smoked ham or pork tenderloin (not sure yet we are buying that from a restaurant here), green beans in the crockpots, hashbrow casserole, strawberry pretzel salad, spinach/tomato/croutons/balsamic vinigrette salad, sister shubert rolls (the best frozen wonder since ice cream!) and tea/lemonade/soft drinks. we will get a cheese cake from sams and i will make a mandarine orage cake my sister makes that is out of this world. i may also make a cinnamon and sugar cake that is really good, too.
tomorrow morning we prime the walls in the toddler room for its long over due renovation. the kids are going to love it when it is finished. we are having a shower for our church's nursery and toddler room. i thought that was a cool idea. this way we can get rid of all the broken, missing pieced toys and fix them up with toys that are new and relavant to their ages. they are going to love it. anna will be so sad she is moving up to the three year old room now. hope you all have a wonderful weekend. time to hit the hay now. i haven't done too well on my getting to bed at a reasonable time. i will try harder. love you all,
summer
isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

I am not doing so hot on getting to bed earlier either!! I blame it on Erik having three days off in a row and staying up to watch TV together!! He is playing drums tonight and I sort of try to wait up...insane I know!!
I am so proud of you for getting all your cleaning done and your meal sounds delicious. I firmly believe if we did not have people over, we would never clean!!
Enjoy your Saturday..you have earned it!!
Love ya,
Janice
