you buy a new van (certified used) expecting it to last a while with out major trouble. you think major trouble would be covered under the powertrain warranty. NOPE! we've heard a small noise in the van the last couple of weeks. (we started hearing it on our trip in for christmas) i took it in this morning to get checked out. there has been a small, steady leak for a long time in the power steering hoses. we didn't know it and we couldn't have known it until it got bad because it wouldn't start showing symptoms until it was too late. now we are having to have the ENTIRE power steering rack and pinion replaced. this is a 2005 dodge grand caravan with just over 40,000 miles. the bumper to bumper warranty ran out at 36,000 miles. they guy who did the diagnostic test on it said it had probably been leaking for several months. if that's the case, it started this mess while we were still under the 36,000 mile mark. so frustrating. now we are going to be out of pocket minimally $650. probably more ike $950!!!!!! we've made 4trips in that van back and forth between here and kentucky 4 times in the last 4 1/2 months. i know we were still under that the full warranty before all those trips took place. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess i will be looking for a part time joob this afternoon!! sorry for the rant. just very, VERY frustrated. thanks for listening. :-)

isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

I love the photos of your new house and the kids! The house is beautiful (the kids are too!) Santa brought us a race track too... with four lanes. Dad especially loves the new toy!
