i put some of both of them in place today. and i called every person on the list. allstate is cancelled, i have an appointment to take my van tomorrow evening when bret gets home, we will take bret's truck in for a recall fix sometime friday after we get the van back, i put in an order with the home warranty people and they are supposed to call me to confirm sometime tomorrow, i put a call in to micah's speech teacher today ( she will call back tomorrow), i put in a call to lakepointe church checking on upwords spring soccer for micah, i found out how much it is going to cost to reinstall our water softening system (at least $550!!!!!!!) , may not be doing that anytime soon, and i have worked on my class for next week. i decided when i'm doing each birthday and what i'm doing for them. bret, (i can't post this part b/c he is going to be reading this! hehehe!!!!), bekah we are going to have friends over monday night the 30th (no elders meeting sinceit is a 5th monday) and eat and have cake and so on, anna we are going to have a princess tea party here and invite some of the girls from church. who, i'm not sure yet. now i just have to work out the logistics.
now i need to find arrangements for my children for may 2-6 while bret and i are at the pepperdine lectureships. i thought it might be good to ask three different people to watch one child for that length of time (4 1/2 days). i have to find people who do not work and who possibly have kids around that age. i've thought about asking john and crysty to keep bekah, the hawkins to keep micah, but anna? maybe the brenthams, the joneses, or the truesdales? finding someone to keep her for 4 1/2 days may be a bit more difficult. its alot to ask anyone. we'll see.
on a different note, i was rocking bekah tonight and singing. she was going back and forth between singing with me and fussing. i got to thinking. i actually rock her much less that i did the other two. she is too easy. she prefers being put in the bed to fall asleep. i guess you learn out of necessity. i was reminiscing rocking micah and anna as well. those were such precious times, night time rocking trying to put to sleep or put back to sleep. that's some of my favorite momments. hard, but cherished momments. i was just wondering what some of your favorite momments are and what always makes you think back to them. let me know. memories are precious and i'm learning that momments are memories much longer than anything else. even the hard times. i am not meaning to sound pessimistic. actually, quite the opposite. momments should be cherised because they so quickly become memories. phiosophical? maybe. sentimental, most definitely. i love my memories and pray i will always have them "treasured in my heart."
let me know what are some of your fondest memories,
summer
isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
