isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

pictures are going up!

well, i've lived in this house for 3 1/2 months and i have only hung one picture in the entire house...until today. i have done the upstairs. it all looks really good. we had origianally planned on doing micah's room in airplanes, but since i have so much sailboat stuff and we live near a lake where everyone is always sailing, i thought we would just go with sailboats. i have a wonderful print hanging above his bed that i need to get a new fram for but that will come with time. i also found some frog prints that my friend from paducah, stacey stratton's mom cartooned out for us. i framed them and hung them in the kigs bathroom. they look great. anna's room is adorable. its so much fun getting all this done. i may even see if i can talk my jusband into painting one of the rroms this weekend. we'll see. its supposed to be warm and clear so we could open windows. we'll have to see how the kiddos are doing, too. bret is leaving super early in the morning to take a friend of ours for a colonoscopy. they have to be at the hispital by 6:30. which translates into bret has to get up by 5, leave by 5:30 and be at our friend's house between 6 and 6:15. now we know this guy is a good friend because bret doesn't get up that early for anything. hehehehehehehe! just kidding! he does what he is called upon to do.
i have a lot going on right now. lots of to do's to get to.
-plan 10 year class reunion (supposed to happen this year and i haven't even begun!!!)
-women's retreat personal workshops (feb 3-4)
-wednesday night womens bible class (i'm teaching next week and two more times in the next three months)
-i need to cancel our renters insurance from when we had an apartment.
-get micah back into speech here in rockwall
-call our home owners warranty people and get them to come out here and fix our plumbing in the tub upstairs and down.
-call rainsoft and have them come hook our water softening system up
-call rockwall dodge and see if they wi,ll look at our van under the power train warranty (we have a loud humming sound when it is warming up and you brake)
- contact acu to see if they have received my transcripts from lipscomb and murray and see if i can do their applied studies program
-plan bret (jan 22), rebekah(jan 30), and anna's(feb. 19)birthdays

how do you all prioritize what to do first when you begin to mount a big list of to do's (and i don't mean cleaning house and laundry :-)) ? i asking for advice from you all. i am doing so well and i don't want to loose my momentum of feeling good with all i have to do. give me your tips. thanks for you input in advance.
hope you all are having a great day.
love,
summer

Put all your phone calls on a list in a spiral notebook and do that first...it will be over and done with. Getting all of those off will make a huge difference!! Then do in chronological order all of the others...assign them all a date and page in order in that spiral notebook(or whatever you have-don't add get spiral notebook to the list, sheets of computer paper stapled together would work)so you can know what comes next. Brainstorm a little on each of them while you are on hold for the phone calls. The momentum from getting the phone calls done will spur you on to the rest!!

My Franklin Planner keeps me sane when I am overwhelmed. And it's pink- it makes me happy! I had to get rid of the yucky green one; it was so depressing! I'm sure you could convince Bret that you need one, right? (grin) Anyhow, you make a list of everything you can think of that you have to do. The things that HAVE to be done NOW get an "A" next to them. Things that can be done later are "B" items. Low priority items are "C" items. A's should obviously recieve most of your attention. Check the items off as you do them, and make a new list every day, using your list of undone things from the previous day. It's a good feeling to have a list of completed items!
