tuesday the kids and i went to the gorcery store first thing. i try to do my grocery shopping late at night when bret is home so he can watch the kids, but we had very little choice this week. after the long weekend, we were out of everything. so we went. ironically, the kids were great. i went to super target because they have shpping carts with a riding area for toddlers and i could put rebekah in the front in her car seat. my bribe for them was to be very good and quiet while i shopped for groceries and i would take them through the toy department. they met the requiuiements and got to ride through the toy department. micah wants everything star wars for his birthday. he is growing up so fast. we went to mcdonalds for lunch so they could play in the play area. when we came home, they took a nap. when they got up. i started on supper (white beans...) which turned out well, except the corn bread. after supper we went outside to play. then john and crysty and their 11 year old "little brother" levondrick came over and played dominoes. it was a lot of fun.
yesterday, i took the kids and crysty and levondrick to the dallas aquarium and to chucky cheese. we all had a blast. levondrick will be going back home to day to lubbock. micah has really enjoyed levondrick. we took a nap and got ready for church last night. i went to praise team practice last night for the first time in almost a year. i'm not sure if i want to do that right now, but we'll see. i told bret i would at least come to practice with him. he liked that. rebekah also had her 4 month shots yesterday. she slept alot but didn't seem like she felt very good last night. i gave her some tylenol and fed her. she slept all through the night and is still asleep. bless her little heart. it gets harder and harder to watch your kids get shots as you and they get older. i don't know why. but i have to tell you all about the sweetest thing about yesterday. i got micah and anna ready for bed, but could not get them to bed because i was taking care of anna. (bret was still at work) so micah sid, " its ok momma, i can put anna to bed." he took her hand and led her to her room (that was dark and she wouldn't go into by herself, ) and prayed with her. i could hear him and he did it just like i do it. then he came into the living room where i was and said mommy anna wants you. can i read her a story? so he took a book to her room and proceeded to read her a story. it was so precious. though they didn't go to bed, it was melting my heart. they are great kids and despite my feeble attempts, God is doing some great things with them. thank you God. i hope you all have a wonderful day.
congratulations to alicia and brian brophy who had a beautiful baby girl last friday morning-- (that is terrell and teresa lee' grand baby) she is beautiful. also congratulations to my sister sara and her husband trent for celebrating their 4th wedding anniversary. they are doing great now with their 3 month old baby boy. my love to you both!

isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
