our weekend looks wonderful! nothing going on today except bret has an anniversary dinner to sing at. he will be gone from 7-10ish. nothing at all on the agenda for tomorrow, and sunday will be full but fun. church, a luncheon celebrating one of our former elder's service (it's a really big shindig), and a birthday party for a friend in the young married class.
i haven't blogged about our father's day yet. micah made bret a mosaic out of little tiles. it was a cross. he saw the supplies at michael's and begged for me to get it for him to make for daddy! so, we did. it didn't turn out so well though. i think i know what went wrong so we may give it another try. we also made a plaque of their hand prints out of plaster of paris. it is sweet but also did not turn out perfectly, we took him out to celebration, one of the best and nicest restraunts in dallas. he loved it. i also made him a pecan pie, which i didn't get to until wednesday night. it tastes great, but is a bit runny in side. oh well, they were all gifts from the heart.
well ihope you all have a wonderful weekend. we will. probabbly going to watch some movies from netflix and chill some. by the way, for those of you who know stephen lamb, he has made it to sudan. he will be there for 8 weeks. please pray for him.
love to you all,
summer
isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
