what a weekend! we were involved in a wedding and occupied friday and saturday. it went really well. congratulations jack and jenny connely. our duet was ok. we had to practice alot on the microphones for me. singing on a mic is different than singing without one! we also went out for breakfast to a plave called cafe brazil. it was awesome! i want to go back really soon. we'll have to see.
yesterday was good, but long. church went well. i'm teaching rebekah in her cradle roll class this quarter. yesterday was her first time to sit in the big table and she sat through the whole class. about 25 minutes. that's about all the babies can handle. i can't believe she is getting so big. i could just eat her up. she is 4 1/2 months old.
we ate lunch at on the border with john and crysty, scott and trisha(happy anniversary you guys!) beth tucker, and lesli (ryan was drilling this weekend for the reserves). it was delicious.
we came home and i was going to help with a vbs workday on decorations, but i was so exhausted, i had to have a nap, so we took a nap.
then last night at 5:30 we had pizza and a concert from won by one, pepperdine university's admissions group. they were excellent. micah and anna really enjoyed it. every once in a while when i looked over at micah he was bopping his head to the beat and beatbopping with the group. that's bret's boy!
we came home, talked with crysty for a little while so she could see our new couch and then went to bed. john and crysty were gone to camp last week and we missed them a lot. we're glad to have them home, but glad they were able to go to camp and encourage kids. they are awesome at youth ministry. (and being friends, too)
today the kids and i are recooperating from the weekend. lots of laundry to catch up on. not much else. hope you all are doing well. we are planning a trip int o see family and bret and i are going to have a small couple getaway while we're away. we're looking this week for a deal on travelocity for us to do possibly. i'm getting excited. we really need it. we haven't had a night away alone since before we moved to texas. it should be a treat.
love to you all,
summer
isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
