isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

the benedryl worked!

well, the benedryl did wonders, so i'm sure it is my allergies. i slept so well. they were back this morning so i need to find something i can take that is non drowsy. my friend, lesli gave me some alavert and it has done a great job.

today was the first day of summer ladies bible class. fran armour and janet hardy are going to be leading the discussion. it is a great experience to be joined with the older ladies of church and study the bible. they are teaching from the book of john, which is really cool since bret and i are reading the book of john in our devotional time together. fran does such a great job teaching. i wish she had time to do it all year long. she definitely has a gift.

i left rebekah in childcare today for the first time on tuesday bible study and she did really well they said. she was so tired when i picked her up. i bet she didn't sleep any for fear of missing out on something. she loves to watch the big kids play. i think she's just planning all the things she's going to do when she gets big enough.

our couch comes tomorrow between 9 and 11. i'm a bit excited. we are going to move our other couch to bret's office and he is going to use a "closet" upstairs for his recording stuff. that way he will be able to go somewhere where he is not disturbing everyone in the office when he needs to belt out a recording. he is excited about getting his office back to just an office. now we'll just have to make sure he keeps that door open so no one will find him napping on the couch. ha ha! just kidding honey, i know you would never do that! (he wouldn't, i promise)

bret was so sweet last night. he could tell i wasn't feeling well so he asked if i would like for him to clean the kitchen up after supper or give the kids a bath. WOW! what an offer. i opted to clean the kitchen and let him do the baths. he put them to bed and everything. my house was clean, my kids were clean and it was ok for me to take some benedryl. i took it while he was putting the kids to bed. we watched "frday night lights." it is a football movie set in odessa texas in 1988. it was kinda cool because dickson county won the state championship in 1988 too. it was very much the same mentality as i remember in tn at the time. i missed the last 15 minutes or so. but that is normal for me. i've seen all but the last 15 minutes of a lot of movies. oh well. hope you all have a wonderful day.

love,
summer
