well, spring break officially started yesterday at 3:00 pm. we came home and rested for a little while. i mowed the yard and trimmed all the hedges. after we got all that cleaned up, the kids and i went down to the harbor for dinner and fun. we ate dinner at ruby tuesdays, shared a cup of icecream from coldstone creamery and played around on the beautiful walkways and fountains beside the lake as the sun was going down. micah was definitly glad we came as he gave me a hug on the way back to our car and said, "mommy, this was so much fun, thank you for bringing us." melted my heart.
today we woke around 8 and had the very special treat of pillsbury mini cinnamon rolls. they are a coveted treat at our house. the house was clean, but i needed to mop, vacuum, dust and shine the bathrooms before we left. we were dallas zoo bound by 11:30. with a quick stop by the bank we were on our way. our outing began with lunch at the legendary Mcdonalds by the zoo. it is decorated like a zoo and a must stop when we go to the zoo. after that, we joined everyone else in the metroplex at the dallas zoo. it was a BEAUTIFUL day for going to the zoo. we saw most all of it, because we did not tire out before it was complete. my favorite moment of the trip was when we got to the elephants, bekah, standing on my knees, says to the elephant who is very close to us, "i like your ears, elephant." as we began to walk on to the next animal, bekah waves and says, "bye, i love you." it was nice. the cats were lazy and tired, but most everything else was out enjoying the weather and the audience today. we even got to see several mommies carrying their babies around which so cute.
bret is away this weekend at quartet international qualifyers in san marcos. they did very well last night he thought and will finish out tonight around 5:30. hopefully they will score high enough to qualify for international which will be held in nashville this year. the kids and i could not go. i wish i could have.
please continue praying for our house to sell. i am having a hard time being patient through all of this. we will visit montgomery at the end of the week to reaffirm our selves of our decision and just see our new home. (town anyways, who knows where or when will live anywhere else!!)

When Kacey was little, we went to the Anchorage zoo at least once a week in the summer . . . it was a great place to just walk and enjoy Alaska summer days. (year-round pass, close to our house.) When Kacey was around 2, she started calling it the "Animal Store" - always made me laugh.
Our prayers are still with your house-selling. Though, we prayed for your Reidland house to sell as well . . . and you see how long that took!

I sure hope you have an offer on your house by now and if not, keep your chin up. Your house is gorgeous, staying there made Erik and I want it!! I can't imagine not buying it if we were actually looking to live in TX!
