isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

partying like its 1999

this weekend was a full weekend. friday night we celebrated with two members of our praise team at their rehearsal dinner at the legedary dallas country club. it was lots of fun with lots of toasts and amazing food and fellowship. i am glad i had my wine early in the night, because this girl who does not usually drink alcoholic beverages was a bit tipsy after one glass. the room was litterally spinning for a few moments!!! still we had a blast and felt so honored to look back over our ministry time here at prestonroad and see some of the things we had a small part in! the kids had a great time playing in the state of the art childcare troom with the free babysitting.

saturday morning i was up early and out at target by 8. i was able to get all of the easter shopping done just in time for bret to call and say that our house was showing at 11! i rushed home and we got everything ready and were out the door again in the nick of time. i did the grocery shopping and bought the girls new easter shoes and micah a nice shirt and tie at walmart. they were all very happy with their new digs. we cam home and rested for an hour or so before heading to a birthday party for rebekah. it was at the local gymnastic center, so it was super fun. micah and anna were really good sitting and watching while all the little ones had a blast. afterwards we cam home and rested again for about an hour beore we ate dinner and started getting ready for the wedding. the wedding was at 8 pm which was really 9 pm since it was the end of daylight savings time saturday night. my kids did great besides annas asmatic coughing fit for the forst 10 minutes we arrived. it was a beautiful wedding and the wedding reception at the northwood country club was the grandest i've ever attended. our kids had a blast and we danced till the literal wee hours of the morning. in bed by 1:30, sunday morning came early. we went to church not as early as usual since we did not have to tech rehearsal thanks to the wedding. church was great and we stayed out and about because our house was having an open house sunday from 2-4. there were two serious lookers and our great friends and neighbors who cam e to tour it. when we got home, we dound little skicky notes throughout the houe that our friends put with sayings like, traitor, oops missed a spot, and other silly but expressing much "love." we crashed the resto of the night and micajh even made dinner--turkey sandwiches and chips! it was delicious. funpacked weekend. monday night was a welcome restful evening at home. our friend john is going to spend the next few nights with us while his wife is out of town so he can have a few more fun times with the morris's before we are gone. i 'm sure he will get to swing anna at least once! after all, she is his "favorite"!

love you all,
summer
