isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

new chapter about to begin

sometime in the near future our new future will begin. the problem is, we have no clue when that will be. i am not particularly good at waiting and being patient. neither is the world we live in. when i announced to my job at the preschool that i would be moving almost immediately they needed a hard date. (i completely understand why they need a hard date because its not like they can just go without one until someone else comes along meant for the position. school meets everyday and someone has to be there to teach music if i'm not.) because we are waitng and trying to let our house sell, we have no hard date. so...i at the time, gave the date that i knew without a shadow of a doubt i could committ to. that date was spring break. well, spring break is week after next, so that means the girls and i only have one more week of school before we have to start sitting idly at home waiting. oh i am so nervous about that sitting all day in a quiet house wainting until....who knows. i can't really pack until we have a hard move date or we have a contract on the house. i have already packed alot of things that are extraneous and "cluttery."
we showed our house this morning and we have an open house tomorrow from 2-4. i am desparate for god to move someone to buy our house soon. i have been praying for this and even acting every morning as though someone was coming to look at my house that day. i leave it "show ready" every mornign before i leave for school. even thursday, when we had snow and rain and ice all day, i thought for a momment to leave the disches in the sink and the stuff layin around, but bret i and i said, no, if we are going to live on the faith that we trust god will bring someone, then we have to have it ready at all times. so we made it ready even on that day.
i had a "fall apart with god" moment. i prayed that i make most all my decisions based on what i think will bring the most honor to him. not that i deserve it, but i asked him to honor me today with the showing of our house. i asked for comfort during this time of insecurity and unknown days. i felt prodded to turn on the radio and when i did i heard the sweetest voice from God. it is a new jeremy camp song called let it fade. i have posted a link to it on here. i did not figure out how to post it directly here in this blog, but i will tell you that i balled my eyes out at GOds tender reply to me. read the lyrics if you can to the right of the song they are where i am right now. this is a great cd and one i want to get soon.
love you all,
s

I am so sorry that it is not going quickly. I'm sure in many ways it is torture. I hated that we had to leave Dallas as fast as we did. Looking back on it, I think it was a blessing. Wish I could do something to speed the process along!! :o( Will be praying for you all!! Love you!

Summer, you'll probably enjoy commiserating with another Dallas mom, Raising Five,
who is also sharing your pain: trying to keep a house show-ready with small children. Thought of you when I read her blog and just had to laugh- what else can you do?
