isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

babies, babies, babies. they are popping up everywhere. my friend lesli just had her baby and is at home doing well. they had a little trouble with an infection and the baby had to stay in the hospital to receive antibiotics for 5 extra days. they are at home now and doing great. another friend from paducah just found out she is having her second baby. i thought this would be hard for me. we can't have anymore children. we made the choice to make it official after our last pregnancy because of my difficulty in carryng the babies full term. i went on bedrest the last two pregnancies around 26 weeks because of an incompetant cervix. anna was born three weeks early and rebekah was born 4 weeks early. bret and i both reserved the right to approach the other about adoption if we felt the call to parenthood strongly in the future. i thought seeing my friends and sisters have babies would make me want another of my own. so far, that has not happened. i am content with our family. maybe it is becasue i don't know how in the world i could afford another child or if i know i have all i can handle right now. whatever it is, i am glad to be content.

I feel good knowing our decision is made and we will have babies again when our babies have babies-a long time from now!!!

Three is a good number. I, too, am content.
