isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

this is why there are routine breaks in my blogging

i have nothing profound to write about!

not that anything else i write about is profound, but i don't know what to say. sunday was a great day. we enjoyed small group. i am still baking away, making all dinds of things we've been missing in the last few months. i made georgia cornbread, which is a great dessert that bret's mom told me about. i made squash casserole, two pumpking logs and chicken enchiladas. i've also really been enjoying making homemade salsa that my friends here taught me how to make.

this afternoon, i came home invigorated by the weather and while the kids played outside, free from the fear of giant mosquito attacks, i rearranged my living room and cleaned my kitchen and mopped. its been needing it so desperately. we actually went out to eat tonight at jim n'nicks to support the chorus. there were many people there supporting the chorus. we actually had to wait, so i ran to walmart right behind there to pick up groceries, since i'd been needing to do that anyways. i got everything we needed and was back at the restaurant in twenty minutes.

i speak for high school girls chapel on thursday and i am a little nervous. i have changed my mind twice on what i will talk about and have settled with gossip/rumors/slander. i will let you know how that goes afterward. hope you all have a great day.
