isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

i know you wish i would update more often, but ....

i'm sorry. my life is extemely busy right now. i don't have enough time to do things that must be done, much less, things that are at the lower end of the proiority list.
this is our life since last posted in bullet format:
  • church beach retreat in panama city during hurricane fay--we had a GREAT time! and even saw the sun and dolphins (lots of dolphins)
  • experienced first ACA football game and victory.
  • had a great visit with my baby sister and her family during labor day weekend!! we played cards and just generally chilled all weekend.
  • our church hosted a red cross shelter for 92 hurricane gustav refugees--bret stayed pretty busy with that
  • i taught for 7th and 8th grade science for two straight weeks while the teacher was in china supporting her son-in-law in the paralympics
  • enjoyed a weekend with my mom and dad as they came to visit us
  • experienced homecoming at ACA
  • went to the Zoe conference with my hubby and enjoyed much reassurance and refreshedness while getting to visit with many friends
  • went to greenville, S.C. with bret and the kids enjoying a weekend away
  • had two days of from school and enjoyed time with my honey and found out that finishing school is going to be much more difficult than i ever anticipated since classes are only offered during the day and not online or in the evenings.....poor summer
  • i have subbed quite a bit and am building up my credibility at school. who knows, maybe i will even get to teach bible there someday. well, someday will probably be a little further down the road than i thought at one time.
  • the kids love school and are learning new things. we continue to love our new church home. our house is rented in rockwall with a contract to purchase in february, so finances are making it. we just have to pray that they are able to get a loan in february!!!!
  • we have been without an oven for the better part of our time in montgomery, but are finally enjoying a working oven for the time being. i fully expect it to go out soon, but in the meantime, i have been baking away!!! (as much as i could anyway)
  • upward basketball is gearing up soon. bret is leading that ministry so we will be very involved for the two months after christmas!
  • bekah has been sick for the last two days running a fever. bret finally took her to the dr. today. i hope she feels better soon.

love you all, i will try to do a better job at updating, but i can't promise anything :-)
