this has been the post that has been a long time coming, but just not something i was able to talk about until now. bret and i will be moving to montgomery, alabama in the near future. we will be working with a church there called Vaughn Park Church of Christ. bret will be continuing his role as worship and technology misinter as well as taking on outreach events. we are very excited about this opportunity. we do not know when we will be moving yet, because both churches are being very graciuous and allowing us to give our house a good chance to sell before we move. the house has been on the market for 13 days and has shown 5 times. it is showing well and we have done alot to make it look great. it is just a matter of the right family coming along who needs a 4/2.1/2 in our neighborhood :-). i am confident that God will send them. please be praying about this for us.
it is a very bittersweet time. i will not lie. living in dallas has been hard for our family...let me restate that. it has veen hard for me. i got pregnant right off the bat, went on bed rest, had three children three and under, found out i had graves disease and then had to move out 30 miles from the church (my husband). couple that with living 600 miles away from all family and you have my life the last 4 years. though i have had some great friends i have really struggled finding a support structure. you know, those kind of people you call on when you are supposed to go on a couples retreat, but can't because there is no one you know to watch your kids overnight so you can go.
i am going to miss the staff, praiseteam and my hometeam so much. i will also miss the girls i have been working with at the ark preschool. i will miss my neighbors--especially the biggerstaffs-- and my neighborhood.
though living in dallas has been hard for me, i know two things. it would have been hard no matter where i was because of all the personal things i went through during that time. i also acknowlege that i probably never gave dallas a fair chance. i tried, but never really did. i feel some guilt. for whatever reason, i had a hard connecting to this community. i went back and forth about whether it was my fault or theirs. i don't know that it was either. it just wasn't a great fit. through prayer i hope that mongomery will be better in this way. we will be about 4 hours from my family and 6 hours from bret's family. so that will help. no, we won't be able to walk next door, but we can make weekend trips much easier and hopefully it will be easier for them to come see us, too. montgomery is on I-65 and only 1 hour 45 minutes from atlanta, and about 2 hours from the beach. we are looking forward to being with our new church family and starting over, so to speak. pray for us during this transition. especially right now while we are in the hurry up and wait time for our house to sell. i know we can't afford two house payments so i trust God will sell it.
i am reassured of two things during all of this. i have been blessed with the most wonderful, caring husband in the world who truly does love me though i wonder why sometimes and i have a God who has heard my cries and he does care about each tear that falls. even when it isn't life threatening, but just my inadequacey that brings me hurt.
love you all. lood forward to being alittle closer to most of you.

isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

FINALLY!!!! I have known forever and not been able to say anything to anybody!!! I am so excited for you and pray that God blesses, not only the move and the transition, but your family with suportive friends and a great new church. I felt about Jackson the way you felt about Dallas - just never fit and it was mostly our own fault. Regardless, we are home now and I pray you find "home" too. Love you much!
All I want to say is "LOVE YOU!!"
I hope this will be a wonderful new chapter for you all. We look forward to seeing you more often!
I'm praying for your family that this will be just the thing you've been looking for. Let us know when you're leaving; we definitely want to get together with you before then!
Love,
Tricia
