you never know how far your life is reaching. i mean, in this www. day and age we are only a click of the mouse away from anyone. however, i was made very aware of this just the other day. carolyn, a friend of my mom's from edmonton, canada has been keeping up with me and my family. canada---wow! thanks for checking on us carolyn. i hope you and my parents get to meet again someday, maybe on another cruise. maybe we can all meet if we ever get to take a big family cruise. that would be really cool!
God is so sweet. i asked for bright spot--big or little the night i said good bye to lesli and the next day i got a call from the mother's day out program i had applied to last summer. they needed a music teacher to finish out the rest of the school year on tuesdays and thursdays. it pays $45 a day plus FREE childcare for all my kids. and i only work 4 hours with an hour long lunch to run errands/ go home/ do laundry...the possiblilties are endless with what i can do during my hour lunch. plus the girls LOVE it. they have adjusted really well and the teachers love them so far. i love teaching music. it couldn't be more up my ally. the cool thing is that they are in need of a full time music teacher for next year. if i do well and they like me, i may be able to get the job for next year. they only hire out of their sub pool and they don't have any other prospects right now. cool, huh?!
i went with micah's class on their field trip to the dallas zoo last wednesday it was fun and it was neat having kids who had not been to the zoo before in my group. seeing some of those animals for the first time in real life is pretty amazing.
there are only 36 more days of school left till the summer. i am looking forward to it. it will be nice to swim....wait, did i really say i am looking forward to summer?? somebody smack me! i am not looking forward to the heat, but the pool is calling me. we know a lot more of our neighbors since last summer. over half of the students and teachers at micah's school live in our subdivision. we have met alot of them this year. it should be alot of fun!
sunday was powerful! the power of the resurrection is so gigantic. bringing something, that at one point was dead, back to life. we get to witness this all the time, but we fail to see the amazing power in it. people are lifted from depths all the time. i have been, i'm sure you have been, too, at some point in your life. if not, then you will. it is that same power that is capable of making the dead live. enjoy the pictures and to everyone who reads this.....i want pictures of all of you and yours too!!!
love,
summer

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
