isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

hello again

well, as sandy says, when life gets crazy, the first thing to go is blogging. that has been the case for me. we celebrated anna's fourth birthday the weekend of the 17th. her birthday is feb. 19th so it was fun to say the least. i will post pictures soon. she chose a friend to go with her to this special children's salon and they wore princess dressup dresses and had manicures and up do's. it was fun. we celebrated that night both girls' birthdays with our "friends like family" the kimberlins, parkers and hughes. it was nice to be together and the girls loved the gifts. (you all shouldn' t have you know!!!) the rest of the week was spent getting ready for the weekend. i had alot of activity supplies to plan for for sunday morning bible class this week. i also taught the middle school sunday so i had to prepare for that. but the thing that rocked my world for a few days was our womens' retreat. i was responsible for the welcome bags. everything was set to go about a month ago, but registration was not going well early on. we originally planned for 150 women, but one month ago there were only 18 signed up. for that reason, i had to wait to purchase the supplies for the gift bags. when we were ready to make the purchases, the venue i was going with no longer had the items i needed. not only that, they didn't have anything i could use!! i was back to square one only one week out from the retreat! i did, finally, after dragging my kids in and out of numerous stores, find the things i needed and in the quanities i needed them(100). i spent so much time doing that. needless to say, i probalby will not do that next year. :-)

the retreat was a success as were the welcome bags. it was a coffe talk theme with a set design like an oprah stage. 9 women from our church shared their testimonies and they were very compelling! i feel so much closer to the women of PRCC. i think i am finally starting to really fall in love with this church. it takes a while for me sometimes!!!

this week is a little easier. i do have a PTA board meeting tonight and am trying to plan two more events for the school year: texas public school week which is next week and muffins for mom. for TPSW we are going simple and just having two special days for mom's and dad's to join their children for lunch. it is simple--just a hand out be approved and sent home. the other is muffins for mom. if you read how the donuts for dads event went, then you know i am determined for muffins to go much better! we are planning to have it near mothers day. we want to make it an extra special event and would like to host in an enclosed room to give us the opportunity to decorate and make it more intimate and special. at this point, i am not sure how we will do this. the library is one of the only rooms available but the librarian is not keen on the idea of having food and chaos near all the books. i completely understand! now i just need to find another place.

the jbf consignment sale is weekend after next. i have alot i am putting in this sale. the nursery furniture, bedding, double stroller w/ infant carseat, lots of baby toys and clothes of course. i hope to make alot of money this round to redo the girls room and of course clothe them. i only spend the money i make from the sale to buy clothes for them, so this should be fun!

we put bekah in anna's room and now the girls are sharing a room. bekah's old room is now the play room. they both love sharing a room at the momment. all thatis int thereis two beds and a chesto of drawers. simple and not much to get into!!i hope to be able to decorate both rooms after the sale.

i've had a pretty sick crew this month. bret had a really tough case of bronchitis and micah had something. the girls and i have managed to steer clear of everything.

winter is gone for all practical intents and purposes. we have been enjoying the 70's. you have to enjoy late winter/ early spring in texas. because that's all you get!!!

love you all. not sure of our plans for spring break. but maybe we will be coming soon a city near you!!!

Glad to hear the update on your crew. What's the jfb consignment sale? Is it the one at Plano's Convention Center? What fun to have sisters sharing a room :) Have a great week!
