isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

readying the morris family bed and breakfast

my family is coming tomorrow night! i mean my whole family: mom, dad, sara, trent, jack, leslie, dwayne, and dylan. how wonderful are they?! none of them have very much money to spend so we are doing everything very simply. we will be eating at home every meal except one. i think i have planned menus that everyone will like. they are leaving tomorrow night at 8:00pm and driving all night. i am a little worried about that, but there are 6 of them and two cars, so hopefully everyone will take turns driving and sleeping. we have the whole weekend to just hang out and chill. i am so honored that they would use their precious vacation time to come to dallas to see us. since bret only gets two weeks vacation and can't miss many sundays--especially holiday sundays--it makes it really hard for us to visit family. especially since two days of vacation are used up in traveling each time we make a visit!! it means so much when they come to see us. i am so honored to have them!

we are going to bret's vm fall show friday night and it turns out that bret will have an entire song solo!! i am excited for my family to hear him. my family chose this weekend to come just so they could support bret at his fall show. that is so kind and he was very touched! i think he was just as excited about their trip in to see us as i was.

micah is really excited, too, since this will be the first time any of his family (except bret and me) has watched him play soccer. also, grandparents day was monday and grandparents were invited to eat lunch with students at his school. he is looking forward to meme and papa having lunch with him on thursday. i am going to let him stay home from school on friday to spend time with family.

i have my house all decorated for fall down to the pumpkins and mums out front. my family usually takes a trip to the smokeys in the fall but decided to come see us instead this year. i hope to give them a fall retreat feel even in the heat of texas!!

in other news,
micah is really enjoying school and doing well. his teacher said he is the perfect candidate for kindergarten. that makes me feel a whole lot better. he is making friends and that is nice, too!

it is much quieter around the house these days with micah at school. bekah has started talking more to make up for the noise difficiency. :-)

we have started a new program at church in our children's ministry called 2:52 Basics. it had a great kickoff. our entire family is really excited.

i started teaching middle school this fall with crysty, our youth minister. this past suday was my first time to teach. it was SO MUCH FUN!! i really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the rest of the quarter. it has been nice to work with big kids again!

my health and meds are doing great. i can't remember the last time i felt this "right" in the head. i have a lot of peace now. thank you Lord!!!

that brings me to some thoughts. i am enjoyoing the valley time. the calmness and the stillness. sometimes it feels too still, like i need somrthing more to do with my time than clean house and cart kids around. Hmmmm....lots of thinking going on. i don't want to get too comfortable. i haven't had the health to take anything on in tha last year, but soon.....hmmmm lots of thoughts. not may answers yet. don't want to get complacent. that's enough of that for now. lots to sort through.

love you all and can wait to see some of you in about 36 hours!!

I think I have set up a google account so I can send comments on your postings. I hope I have done it right.

I finally did it. I had to set up separate accounts for both you and Bret. I'm slowly learning. Enjoy hearing all about your comings and goings.
