isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

sorry it's been so long.

i'm finding it difficult to keep with this lately. not exactly sure why, but if you are still readding it, sorry. i will try to catch you up from last post. it's been really hot here lately! one week ago we had a cold front come through after a rain and it was wonderful. after that the temp shot through the roof with 100+ temperatures everyday. that's just too hot to even go outside unless your just passing through to some other indoor activity. we haven't gone swimming for that reason. it's hard to keep bekah cool enough if its her nap time while we are there, so we haven't gone.
last thursday i took bekah and anna to the dr. bekah, for her 6 month check up. she weighed 16 lbs. even and was 26 1/2 inches long. we are now eating what ever she wants pretty much and starting to try sippy cups. too fast. i'm going to put a brick on her head!!!!! dr. curtis did not know for sure what was wrong with anna. ( she's been having what at first looked like bug bites and now we have come to find out it is exzema, poor thing!) so she(the dr.) just told me to put hydrocortizone cream on her 2 times a day. if it didn't get better to call back. well, she got substantially worse last night during the night. i took her back today and we determined for (pretty) sure that it is exzema. now we have to use all dye free, unscented things. how pitiful! she has definitely been a trooper! i love my anna. i had to go tothe dr. on monday for a bladder infection. the first one i've ever had, but i knew exactly what it was when it started. i am on an anti biotic now after trying to fix it myself for 3+weeks by drinking LOTS of water and cranberry juice. i could not fix it nor could i withstand the discomfort, thus the trip to the drs. office.
we had a fairly uneventful weekend. we watched a few movies (ella enchanted and the clearing). we went to sams on friday and got our freezor outside on the front porch working and out for dinner saturday night. sunday was an amazing day of worship. we focused on how God heals through worship with personal testimonies and special music. it was awesome. that evening we went bowling with the praise team. it was a lot of fun. we came back home and chilled the rest of the evening. when you are out the heat just zaps you and all you want to do when you come in to a nice cool house is rest. i am so thankful for our airconditioners. i don't know how we would fair without them. monday and tuesday we focused on getting some major cleaning done. if you've never seen it before you can check out my inspiration at flylady.com. i've been working very hard on my morning and before bed routines. they reallly help.!!!!! wednesday as a treat for getting so much done, we went to the mall to play at the play area and i went shopping. micah is growing out of everything. he got two new shirts and a pair of jeans. he liked them because they looked like what daddy wears. i got two pairs of shorts and a pair of capris. with budgeted money of course. we had a really fun day. last night i started helping lead singing with the somebody street kids (3-6 yrs.). they were crazy!! i'll have to think of something to calm them down next week. i'm doing it the month of august. of course today, we took anna to the dr. and got all figured out, hopefully. we had lunch with bret at chick fil a--our most favorite place in the world. now i'm home with three napping children and recouping from the heat. i have the most wonderful husband. i just needed to let anyone who may be reading this know that. everyday i have more and more respect for him and want to be more like him. thankyou god for my husband. thank you that he loves you more than anything else. teach me to be more like that.
our most exciting news is that my mom is coming here this weekend to visit. she wil get here saturday morning and leave monday morning. we are so excited. there is so much i want to do but i am trying to not plan much since we would probably benefit best from just being still and being together. i know for sure we are goiing to eat at the maccaroni grill, though. i can't wait. she is also going to go with me to teach cradle roll sunday morning. i am excited about her seeing it and all the babies. especially bekah sitting like a big girl in the table learning about God and all the wonderful things he has made. we just got the lonesome dove series in from netflix and a cinderella story. i think mom will enjoy watching lonsome dove with me. i loved that miniseries when it came on. i was younger. i'm looking forward to seeing it. can't wait to see you mom. i'm so excited.
i hope you all doing well and living in the peace of God. i am learning more than i care to, how comforting that is. my love to you all,
summer

Thanks for your comments. While you and your mom watch girlie movies, I think I will play my manly games at Hobbytown. :)
