hello everyone. well this has been a weekend. a good one, but one that has left us with a lot to think about. we looked at houses friday and we found two that we really like. we think they are in our pricerange, although we have not been preapproved for anything yet. i think we are really thinking about buying one of these houses. we are going to go see both of them again and get someone to check it out for us and see if everything looks good. we think it does, but we are not the best judge of houses structures. we had a very, very, very hard time selling the last one, so resale is important to us. we have both decided that getting our own place is very important to planting some roots here in dallas. that's why rockwall is so appealing. it is a suburb of dallas that still feels like a small town. it even has a town square with the courthouse in the middle. it has great school systems and all the close shopping we ould need within a mile or less of both houses we like. it (the town) sets on the biggest lake in the dallas area and has lots more trees and rolling hills than anywhere else we've looked. it will be a 30-40 minute commute for bret and us when we go to church, but it will be worth the drive to go back home to these beautiful houses. we can get houses a bit closer, but they are not in good scholl districts and they are not nearly as nice or spacious for the money. we'll see. i have a feeling if they were't bought by someone else over the weekend we may be making an offer on one pretty soon. let me know if you think we are being too hasty. yesterday the elders communicated to the deacons that they are hoping tro start tearing down and breaking ground for our new building nest spring so this is probably a good idea to go ahead and get a move on. i think this will help my mental health to put down some roots and security and stability. there is just something unnerving about living in a place taht the owners only need to give you a 90 day niotice and you know its coming, but you just don't know when. especially since micah starts school next fall. i know its a whole year away, but i would like for him to be settled. thankfully we have some money now we can use to move. here are the two houses if you would like to see them. there are thigs appealing about them both, though we seem to be leaning toward the 141 southwood a bit more. let me know what you think about them if you can tell anything.
Option #1Option #2also, anna had a reaction to something this weekend and her skin went crazy with a reaction. we called the dr. on call and he said to stop giving her the antibiotic and come in first th ing this week. we have an appointment for tommorrow at 2:10. i don't know what it is going to take to get this girl figured out. i feel so sorry for her. i wish i could jhsut take it from her and deal with it myself. she is being such a trooper about all the medicines and drs. appointments.
bekah is as sweet as ever learning new things everday. micah is getting so big and acting that way too. they are excited about starting perschool, but if we move to this new house they may not be able to go. we'll just have to see. funds may be short and taking them 45 minutes to and from school every monday and thursday might be too much.
the kids and i may be going to the smokey mountains with my family and staying for the weekend on labor day. i am still checking with my schedule but, looks like we don't have anything. bret said it would be fine and that he could use that time to practice a lot with the quartet for district. they probably will really be needing it since two of their guys are going to be out of town for the next 4 weeks. i really want them to do well. so looks like the kids and i may get a little vacation. i love you all. be praying foe us to make the best decision about house buying (or not).
