1. i think we are finally on the road to recovery for anna's rashes. we have been to the doctor 5 times in the last month and spent around $250 on copays and meds, not counting all the new dye free detergents, lotions and soaps. she rested very well last night. we finally went to a dermatologist yesterday and they aren't for sure what it is but think the worst of it is a drug reaction to keflex (a cousin to penicilin). we have a very long and strict regimine to follow until she is better. i just pray this is the beginning of the end of it. she has been amazing at dealing with itching for the more than a month and just getting worse, but yesterday was her breaking point. she is so ready to fell better and have no more "boo boos." it has been very draining for me because i know she is miserable and we can't seem to make it better. i think we have rounded that corner and are on the road to recovery now. i will keep you posted on her progress.
2. stephen lamb is home from sudan. he returned to the states monday and landed at dfw around 2:30. i went and picked him up and he spent the night with us. it was so good to see him in one piece and so full of teachings from God. there was so much he hardly knew where to begin. he is one of my favorite people in the world. he is now back in abilene with school starting next week. this is his last year of his mdiv. i pray God's richest blessings on him this year.
3. we made an offer on the house we like. we took stephen with us to see both houses we were trying to decide between and he agreed that 141 southwood dr. was the best house for us. it is so versatile. with 4 bedrooms, 3 living areas, 2 dining areas, 21/2 baths, 2 car garage, and a great back yard for the kids to play in, i can't wait to decorate for christmas there. IF we get it. our closing date is thursday sept. 21. we will have lots to do to get it ready. we have a lot to paint and some little things to do. go to this web site to see a virtual tour of the entire house:
i hope it all goes well and we get to buy it. it will be so much fun decorating this house. i have been going through magazines picking out colors and furniture arrangements. i am the most excited about the upstairs. the bedrooms and playroom. they are going to be awesome, IF we get it.
i love you all and will keep you posted :-)
