well, we had a wonderful weekend with my mom. i was afraid that it would feel like she flew in and out without much of a visit since she was only here for from noon on saturday till first thing monday morning, but it really felt like a good visit! we were so thankful. of course i wish she could have stayed a little longer, but it was a good visit. i picked her up at the airport at noon saturday. we went to eat at a really great pizza place. then we came home and put the kids down for a nap. anna was not ready to go, so meme rocked her and finally ended up laying down with her and they both fell asleep. we looked at scrapbooking stuff for a while and eventually went to supper at la madelines. it is one of my favorite restaurants. after a wonderful supper we came home and watched some of lonesome dove. we finally went to bed around 10. sunday morning we were up and got ready for church and mom came with me to teach the cradle roll class. it was so neat having her there. then we finished church and came home, changed, and went to maccaroni grill. lunch was great. we came home put the kids down for a nap and rested a few minutes ourselves. then mom and bekah and i went to ross's and marshall's, shopping. we came back home by 5 so bret could go sing with the praise team for someone in the hospital. mom gave me a facial and we chilled . finally, bret came home and we had sandwiches for supper. after supper, bret and i went out, while mom watched the kids. we were able to talk a bit more this morning before she left. thanks mom for considering it worth $120+ to be with us for a little while. we loved it and are up for it anytime you find a good deal and want to come. thank you daddy for giving her up for the weekend. i love you both.

isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
