isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

recording was good!...

though i almost had a panic attack on the way there. i was ready to just drop bret off and head back home. but he kept reassuring me and we went. when we got there, bret laid down the piano part first, then his vocals. when he was finished after an almost flawless performance, he brought the kids in for their part. THEY WERE ADORABLE! they were so proud of their performance and they had every right to be. lisa got a picture of them for me in the recording booth with the headphones and standing in the mics. this was all very cute, but since i was on deck it made it a little difficult to enjoy it fully. finally it came to my turn. thanks to digital technology, it only took me about 4 tries for my short little verse and about that much for my harmony on verse 4. i was very glad that i did it and that bret helped me face my fear.
that kind of fear paralyzes me. i am that way about water as well. i know the properties of water, but for some reason when i get in it i am overcome with a paralyzing fear. after a while i can relax some, as long as i "think " i am safe. (i stay in the shallow end of the pool, i have on a life jacket, i am with someone who promises to save me...) this is the one thing i wish more than anything to change about myself, but have the most difficult time overcoming. satan has a stronghold on me with this fear and that is why i know i must overcome it. pray that i will have the strenght to do this. thanks, have a wonderful day, i'm working on getting pictures to my blog soon. stay tuned...
love you all,
summer
