isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

i know its been long

but it has been a very still and calm time. that is nice! i won't complain about little to blog about since it means calmness in my life. i like calm....actually there have been lots of things going on, but the pace is good. not too fast. i think it is this time of year...fall.
however, there are a few pieces of info i should pass along. saturday, both anna and micah scored goals at their soccer games. micah actually scored two, but this was anna's first goal in a game so it was extra special. we also had a fall carnival at micah's school last weekend which was very nice. the kids had a great time, even though bekah had a melt down on the way home. we are starting to deal with that now with bekah so you might say a little prayer for me as we learn how handle it best.
bret's new quartet, speak easy, placed third at the southwestern district competion last weekend. i was very proud for him. we wished we could be there.
this week we are having a pumpkin patch at The Ark (the school where i work.) i get to be the "farmer" of the patch and i have a special story time and singing time with the classes before they get to pick one pumpkin to take home. it has been a blast.
it is finally fall in texas. today it has only reached 61 degrees! very nice and brisk for being in the pumpkin patch! i love it. now if i could only go somewhere next weekend to get my fill of leaves, i might actually get to truly enjoy fall! (i am jealous, lesli!)
on a very bright side, anna has been amazing lately! full of yes ma'ams and obedience like we've never seen before. i have been praying specifically for God to give help us see specific things to praise her for, since attention and praise are what she loves more than anything. it worked!!! she has never been so praise worthy in her life!!
well i got to get back to the pumpkin patch.

Yay, Anna!! I'm so happy for her & you.

I'll send ya pictures of the trees. ;-) We're going to a farm tomorrow to a pumpkin patch & maze. Plus, we're going to the "Biggest Halloween Party Ever" at the zoo. I'll send pics of that, too.

Glad things are going well. Miss ya!

Thanksgiving is almost here. Can't wait to see all of you. Things are busy here at work. Went to Pumpkin Patch with Katie and Pam. Took pictures of kids to send Brad. I can't wait until you get to hold Connor. He is absolutely adorable. Love You All
