well it was a wonderful, funpacked, restful at times weekend to go down in the books. i took friday off and bret and i enjoyed a bit of it together. we went to micah's school to volunteer together. it was fun. bret has done it before this year, but it was my first time. afterwards we went and did a *little* christmas shoppping and on to lunch at our favorite spot. we came home to rest for about an hour before going to get the girls. friday afternoon was our parent teacher conference with micah's teacher. everything is going extremely well for micah. she said he is very smart, very well behaved and a leader. she even said on of the second grade teachers asked who he was so she could request him for next year!! he is a very good boy. we can't take any credit, though. God placed his disposition in him and we are very thankful!!
friday night we went to the fall festival at lakepointe were the kids play soccer. it was huge and really fun, though anna did let her fear get away with her a few times. all three of them were great and we got to enjoy rides, games, and of course, funnel cake!
saturday was one of those marathon days that you don't mind. we bagan with anna's last soccer game of the season at 9:00 with a team party following at bahama bucks. bahama bucks is an amazing shaved ice place and it was fun. from there, we went straight to the pumpkin patch. i had been promising the kids i would take them, but the kids activities start at 11 on saturdays and we have had games at 11 every week until this week. they had fun hearing a story, doing games, going through the maze, getting their faces painted and making a craft. from there we stopped at a neat little fried chicken restaurant for lunch. it was good and i am glad bret insisted! micah's final soccer game was at 1 saturday with a team party following. the party was at cold stone on the new harbor front. it was nice. micah was not feeling very well, though. we came home with just enough time to get cleaned up and changed for a special tailgate singing fest at a church in south dallas. some members of our praise team sang and it was a hoot! we were the only white praise team so we were lacking a bit in the soul department, but we did give it our best shot. my kids, who were also the only white kids, had a great time with all the special children activities. anna told me afterwards, "mommy, i love our new church!!" my sweet anna. we were home by bedtime and sunday was sunday. at tech rehearsal by 8, class, church, lunch and home. there was a new members dinner afterward, but i opted to take my tired children home instead. we rested and cleaned a little. i worked on laundry quite a bit. bret grilled burgers and we watched transformers. it was actually really good!
micah pulled his first tooth last night before bed time. actually i made the final tug by his request. it didn't put up any resistance. now we have a proud snaggle toothed boy.
today was back to the routine.
we have soccer awards ceremony tonight for the big kids and more laundry to do. bret has a big church meeting tonight, so i will be flying solo with the ceremony. it should be ok. i will try to get some pictures of the weekend posted soon. love you all,
summer

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Hi Left a message on your previous blog. Thought I left it on this one. My neighbors on the corner of Susan and Albany are moving this weekend. A policeman has bought it. Its kind of nice to be able to make friends with a police officer. Who knows I might need one sometime. Hope Not!!
Can't wait to see all of you at Thanksgiving.
Wow, what a weekend!!! sounds great, and so much halloween/fall fun stuff.
We miss ya'll so much, seems like we never see each other any more.
We have snaggletooths at the same time!! This stage lasts a while I seem to recall. Keep some extra $ stashed. heehee! I bet Micah was as anxious as Lilly to hurry up and lose one!! Lilly lost number two this week. Both bottom front teeth are gone. It's pretty!
