isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

funny the things parenthood calls you to

for some reason, bekah has been afraid to go to "potty." she will be three in january and it is definitely time to start the process of at least acquainting her to the bathroom. with her fear, it has been difficult. i have just not bothered with it too much because i thought she would eventually show some signs of readiness. well...saturday was the first day. she went #2 on the potty for the first time and later she did #1 for the second time ever on the potty. we made a HUGE deal out of it. she got to put stickers on her new potty chart and three m&m's. i just decided to put her in big girl under**** for the day time. we did have two accidents, but the day goes down in the books as a victory!! it really is a mile stone day and i will always remember the entire family cheering for her and coming by to verify her success! that's what family is about right! i really love mine!

funny quotes:
we are attending our first rockwall heath highschool football game. as we sit in front of the cheerleaders (who move up and down the field to involve different sections of the crowd) micah turns to us and says, " Man, those cheerleaders sure are cheering us up!"
