i got new throw pillows, lamp shades and a couple of pictures for my birthday along with the promise of making family protraits and individual portraits on our own camera. we have a professional quality camera and bret bought the remote for it saturday so we can take family pictures without setting the timer and running to get in place. we are making black and white and sepia pictures so i am in charge of buying a black sheet. we are going to take some in the evenings until we get what we want. it should be fun. i will have copies made so if they turn out well, i will try and send some out to family and friends.
my sisters arrive in three days!!!!!!!!!! i am so excited. i pray they have a safe, fun and easy trip with two little ones in tow. i have a lot to do before they get here so hopefully i will get done. we leave for denver after church on the day that they leave to go back home, so i will have to get everything ready for our trip as well.
today is sunday. it is 3:30 and i am home for good. that is nice. we had praise team rehearsal this morning and basically sang three presentational pieces today. they went well and all involved did great. i taught middle school today again and they were so good.
we saw evan almighty yesterday it was really good. i thoroughly enjoyed it. though it was a comedy, i got misty eyed a few times at the thougt of how powerful God really is. we went to jason's deli afterward and it was scrumptous! i had a california club with fresh fruit and bechamel sauce. yummy!!!!!!!!!! friday we fell in love with a king size mattress that was an incredible deal. bret has been having trouble sleeping for a long time. we really have begun to wonder if the problem is our mattress. the bad part is we don't have the money to buy the mattress out right and we don't do payments on things that are not houses or cars. i guess we will have to save up....if we can be strong enough to fight the temptation. hmmm....funny, that is what i taught about this morning to the middle schoolers---fleeing temptation.
anyway, have a great rest of the weekend.

isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
