vbs is over. it was so much work, but so much fun. my kids had a blast. the theme was treasure cove. bret and the praise team were pirates who just did not get it until the last night. they were really funny. my kids really enjoyed each of the bible stories and crafts and games and snacks. it was well orchestrated and as i said...lots of fun. i will post pictures as soon as bret lets me have the camera to down load them. :-)
we have been doing a lot of swimming. it is free, and in this near 100 degree heat, you want to be in the water if you are outside!!!! micah and anna are really learning alot. they have to have swimmies on but they love running and jumping in. they love it best when bret is with us and he can throw them up in the air and let them sit on his shoulders while he falls in. i pray my children learn to love the water. i like it, but i have too much respect for it!!! i am getttng better while being in it all the time with them. my children are all as brown as biscuits. using sunscreen prevents burning, but does not prevent all sun from tanning them. i hope that is ok.
i had a little scare on sunday night on the way home from vbs. my chest began hurting and my left arm and leg went numb and i lost my strength on my left side. i lasted for a little over a day. bret convinced me to call the doctor to have it checked out. the doctor was a bit perplexed by the symptoms and ended up having me do an EKG, MRI, and an MRA along with a lab work up. everything came back fine. he has referred me to a neurologist for further testing, but at this point all severe things have been ruled out. it was a very strange feeling, but i am feeling fine now. who knows!!!
we leave one week from today to come in to paducah for erin's wedding and to see my new nephew be born. leslie, my sister, is already dialated to 1 1/2 and 50% efaced!! i hope i make it there in time to see little dylan andrew be born!!! i had to miss my first nephew's birth because i had just had rebekah and we were not up for a long trip yet! i just hope i make it in time for dylan.
bekah's new words this week are "baby" and "bible." she is very cute and she knows it. we are spending the day, so far, just chillin and playing! very nice after the chaos of the last week or so of vbs. micah and anna are "making books" and bekah is playing in anna's kitchen. its a good day. i may attempt to get the oil changed and tires rotated this afternoon so i will have it done before we leave next week. we'll see. ya'll take care and have a great day!!

isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

I'm glad you're okay. It would be good if they could figure out what it was, but at least it's not serious! Sounds like we'll be passing you on the road - we're headed to Texas a week from tomorrow!
I hope your trip is going great! We miss ya'll tons, PRCC just isn't like home without you there. And its very tempting to come say hi since we are in Louisville this week. Can't wait til we are all home again. Love you.
I miss you too!!! I can't wait until you all are back. And, I can't wait to see pictures of the baby. I sure hope you have some!!
Thanks for offering to keep Sam!! We'll have to see how the trip pans out. We still don't know about Ryan's trip yet, so we're waiting to see when we can go.
Can't wait to see you!!
