we've been so busy lately! i think its better to be busy than lazy, but i like the lazy days sometimes the most. last weekend we went san antonio for a barbershop contest and maikin waves didn't do as well as they would have liked to. the kids did great however. they couldn't make any noise and they were fabulous. sunday we went to oak hills for church and had lunch with jeff nelson and his kids. it really was a lot of fun. we ate at logans for supper (my favrite) and went shopping at one of the biggest outlet shopping centers i've ever seen. came home monday night and i got really serious about starting a clothing consignment store. i've been researching it. rockwall would be a great location for something like that. there is only one consignment store in rockwall and it is just a children's consignment store. we'll see. lord knows i don't have money to start one so i'll have to find other means. may be impossible. we'll see. tuesday we stayed home and to clean and do laundry. wednesday was bible study and church. thursday we went to the zoo with the hawkins and had an absolute blast. friday we went to the park and had a family picnic and played football. so much fun. bret sang the national anthem for the pepperdine/byu volleyball championship game and saturday we cleaned the house, went to the pumpkin patch and then bret and i went to a class 80's party while morgan myer watched our kids. she did great! but childcare for 6 hours is expensive no matter what way you look at it. the party was great. we all dressed like we did when we were kids. i looked a lot like punky brewster. we had a putt putt competition, craft comptetition and trivia comppetition. we also brought our favorite childhood dessert and ate pizza. thanks moores and lowry's for all your creativity and hardwork. we all had so much fun! now today we had milton jones speaking at our church on the invisible children in africa (which made me think of you stephen) and about ministering to those with disabilities. it was awesome and really made me think. we had lunch at on the border, my favorite and we have the praiseteam halloween party tonight. we are all dressing up. it should be a blast. the wheelers are graciously hosting and there is a chili cook off. i'm making some, but.,....not necessarily for competition purposes. love you all.

isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
