i know it has been a while since anything much, but i'm finally getting in a new routine. when bret gets home and figures out how to get pictures to download again i will post more pictures. i know many of you may be wondering what our house and our new neighborhood looks like . we love it. our neighbors have ocme to meet us. not just the ones next door, but the ones all on our street and the next. this is such a wonderful place. we love the drive. it gives us a chance to collect our thoughts and think. the kids love it too. on the way into town they watch for the skyline and on the way home they watch for the huge lake that is near our house. this is such a home town environment. it is wonderful!
we leave on wednesday to go to the zoe worship conference. everything else is still up in the air. i don't know what to do because bret is going to need the van all the time and that leaves the kids an i without and depending on others. i don't like that. i like to be in control. we'll see. i have to decide on something soon, since we leave in two days.
on a different note, i'm looking for any advice on how to get our schedule working for us. since i stay at home with the kids, we have very few trains to catch. and i don't want to get too many trains running. i don't want them stressing out over their schedules at 2 and 4. however, i feel like lately we have just been staying home all the time and them playing and i clean/unpack. i know that is important. we do have things we do weekly, but they are not necessarily fun activities. sunday is church and bret is usually out of pocket most of that day. when he is with us it is an added bonus. monday, we stay home and bret gets home around 8ish. tuesday is ladies bible class and we are gone most of the day. bret comes home with us around 3-4. wednesday is free except for we leave around 5 for dinner and church, returning around 9. thurday is free and bret gets home aroung midnight. friday and saturday are generallyfree with bret. we had some things going, but with the move and routine change i feel it is a good time to start fresh. anyone have any suggestions. oh, also, anything we do needs to be very inexpensive or free. thanks in advance for your thoughts. love you all,
summer
isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Start a kids demolition business. Find customers that need things that need to be messed up and they can pay our children to mess it up. We can even give a 100% garuntee that it will be messed up when we give it back and it's better than free activities, you can make some money. hehe.
Hey Summer -- this is unrelated to your post, but in response to your comment.....yes, I'm going to Zoe. Arriving Fri afternoon. Y'all drive safe and I'll probably see you there!
We regularly spend large chunks of time at least once a week at the library. I am sure yours has way more to offer than ours too! Also, in large cities, museums typically have free days- find out when yours are and take advantage. However, the best activity I have found for my kiddos is collage making. Keep a plastic box (with a kid-proof lid) full of little stuff they can glue onto construction paper. It doesn't get boring like coloring(we don't usually get more than 5 minutes out of coloring). It does make a mess but it is easily swept up(eventually LOL) and you choose the materials so you can ban glitter and stick with pasta, popcorn, buttons, etc. My children also love to paint and do sidewalk chalk as often as I will allow it. I am looking into your idea Bret, there has got to be a market for that somewhere...
