isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

i'm back again, but not for too long

what a great and busy summer we have had. i have not posted in over a week because i was out of town. i could not post about it because it was a suprise. two thursday's ago on the way to summer school i conjured up the idea in my head to go into see family for a few days, just me and the kids. as i got to planning, i decided that with my mother's 50th birthday on that monday, it would be so awesome for the kids and i to suprise her. so that's what we set out to do. we made all the arrangements and left early monday morning to beat her home from work and join the rest of my family in a party. she truly was suprised, tears and all. it was very gratifying to "get" my mom. she always guesses things and she had no clue. it was fun. we spent monday and tuesday with my family in tennessee, wednesday with lesli, sydney and reidland, and thursday through sunday with bret's famly. it was so much fun to be with lesli. i knew i had missed her, but it reminded me just how much on wednesday. i am not a great local friend, but i am a horrible long distance friend. lesli, i am sorry. i love you!!! the kids had a great time visiting their cousins with bret's family and we ate so well. i was spoiled. they are so good to us.
we returned monday in time to hear the current quaterback and wide receiver for the texas longhorns give their tesitmonies. micah really enjoyed it.i love for him to have every opportunity to see rolemodels talk about their love and dedicaton for the Lord. he was able to get his new jersey autographed by them, which was super cool.
when we finally made it home, i was suprised by bret who had painted the downstairs hallway while i was gone. we also got to meet the newest member of our family, cooper. he is so sweet and really loves us. i love him, too. i knew i would and i am sure that is part of the reason i was nervous about getting him.
yesterday was a catch up day. laundry, grocery, cleaning. today we went with some folks from church to see another free movie at the movie theater--charlotte's web. it was fun, but the kids are worn out. when we go in on a wednesday, we have to stay all day from 9 am until we left after praise team rehearsal tonight and arrived home around 9pm. bless their hearts, they spent about 6 hours in the toddler room today, playing and watching movies. i am so blessed that they are so good.
glad to be back for a little while anyway. good to catch up with everyone.

I'd never let anybody I know get off easy on a 50th birthday! HAHA I can say that now that mine is past! IT WAS THE BEST POSSIBLE BIRTHDAY! Thank you...all! Take a picture of Cooper and post it. Madison's side is almost completly well! Thanks for taking him to the vet for us! That sure did help. Have a great day! love you 15 days!!!!
