we have returned! my son found his soul mate while we were gone to CA. he informed me he wants gracie to be his husband. i asked if he meant his wife and he got really confused. he said i just want to marry her when i get older, mom!!! that would be great with me! she is wonderful and has wonderful parents. anna kept saying, i love you with all my heart, mommy. i missed ed you when you were in California. bekah was very quiet and hugged us both alot. they really had fun, but really missed us. i think i can say the same for bret and i. we had a great time. bret did a great job leading worship wednesday morning. the rest of the trip was fun and a neat get away. we went to some neat spots in hollywood, beverly hills, santa monica and malibu. the pepperdine campus alone is a sight to behold.
my heart is heavy for my cousin who just found out his wife has aggressive cancer throughout her abdominal area. they thought it was gall bladder problems. she is not too much older than me. she has three boys--3,6,11 and her husband is a minister and they live far away from family. i was able to see them at pepperdine. she did not know about the cancer then. she found out the day before mother's day. it is way too close to home this time. i have really struggled with it. PLEASE PRAY FOR THIS FAMILY. for healing--for the boys, for kevin, for cindy, just please pray.
