it all started saturday at 11:50. we had to have micah at Lakepoint for his team pictures, followedby a game at 1:00. we came home for a little while, and worked on projects for sunday while the kids took a nap. bret left for his second of three vm spring shows while the kids and i got ready for it. the kids and i went to target to get a baby gift for a shower on sunday, and we ran through the drive through at McDonalds for some supper. we ate supper in the van while we were parked in the parking garage of the eisman where brets show would be held. we got in just in time to get our tickets from the will call window and get seated while not being there any too soon to have to let the kids start to get restless before it even began. i was very nervous being at a show with three small children and no one to "bookend" with me, but they actually did great. unfortunaltely the only part i had to leave on was the part where bret and his quartet were singing!!!! i was so disappointed. bekah would not be quiet during the song before it, so i had to take her out. we did get to watch it on a tv screen outside the hall. however, it did not do it justice, i'm sure. they were all angelic from that point forward and i got to see everything else. we left there around 11:00. they were all still awake! we dropped bret's truck off at church so he would have it there the next day and then we all rode home together. bret studied for his lesson he was to teach for the next morning and we came up with some good ideas for it. we stopped at walmart on our way home to get waters for the praise team for the next morning and rolls for our potluck we would have the next day. we got in bed around midnight and we were up by 6:15. we got ready and left the kids till very last to get ready so they could sleep until time to go. we left by 7:20 for praise team rehearsal and bret remembered he needed foam board. 24x36 in. foam board to be exact. we stoppped by a walmart on the way to church and they did not have anything big enough. we went on to church. we had praise team rehearsal and then after dropping the kids off in their classes, we began cutting a piece of foam core from the teacher workroom down to fit each 24x36 rendering of our new building. these were to be on display since the elders were unveiling the plan for the building and beginning the process of accepting pledges for the building that day. we got that done, then rhonda and i began finishing the scrapbook. we volunteered to make a scrapbook of each of the families at PRCC as a gift to the clarks (our new children's minister). we had been working on it individually throughout the week, but yesterday was the first time we had been able to be together. she matted words and i matted pictures before we got to church. all we had to do was put the matted pictures into the book. it wasn't that hard or time consuming, we jsut had to do it. yesterday was their welcoming reception and potluck after church. it was the very first time we have had a sunday potluck since bret and i have been there. it was a HUGE testimony to why we need a new building. we have no room for an all church function of anykind accept worshipping in the auditorium. though it was very chaotic, it was nice. then there was a shower from 2-4 the kids and i went to for about 20 minutes and then we were off to sing for two ladies that live in assisted living from our church with some praise team members. needless to say, my children (and i) were exhausted from the previous 24 hours. by 4:30, however we were able to crash. they did not sleep however. i did not want them sleeping then and not sleeping all night, so i just kept them up for a couple more hours while we ate supper and then put everyone to bed by 7:30. there was not a down momment in an entire 24 hour period. it was crazy. why did i do that to myself??? i don't know. it was a good day, just a very packed couple of days.

isaiah 40: 28-31
"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
