isaiah 40: 28-31

"do you not know? have you not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. he will not tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumle and fall; but hose who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

updates

last night we celebrated with micah at the soccer awards ceremony. it was alot of fun. they dimmed the lights and had spot lights twirling all over the place. while loud pregame music played, each team was announced and ran out of the "locker rooms." they were so cute. each player got a sports bag and a trophy. after the ceremony a christian illusionist entertained the kids. he was really funny and the kids absolutely loved it!! he was great because along with his illusions he spoke of Jesus and how much he loves us. i was very proud of micah as he was of himself. it was a fun night. we came home and celebrated over apple pie and ice cream and then everyone went to bed.

yesterday was library day. i love ms. miller so much. she is a great story teller. anna really loves her and she makes our time at the library much more efficient. we are able to pick out much better books with her help.
after the library, we went to the dollar tree and i got the stuff for anna's stocking. i know, how did i do that with her right there with me? very carefully. i did pull it off, however. the dollar tree is a great place for things like that. $10 and her stocking is filled with lots of little mermaid things that she will love. i got a couple of things for micah and bekah's stocking, but there was not as good a selection for their age groups. oh well, i will keep my eyes open.
after that we went to chickfila for lunch. with my coupon, all three of us ate for $3.13. i love a bargain like that. we came home after lunch so the girls could get in a nap.
i picked micah up from school and he read to me for a while. it amazies me that he is reading with such ease. he loves reading. i am so proud of him. i pray he always loves to read.

monday was a pajama day around here. i love getting to have pajama day on monday after the crazy weekend!!! its the best day for pajama day! micah helped me make homemade pizza for supper. it was the best pizza we've ever made. maybe the key is micah helping me :-).

sunday night we had our small group here. its really not so small--16 adults and 10 children. it went really well. we had poppyseed chicken and all the fixins'. i love having peopl over. i guess my southeren upbringing along with my momma's gift for hospitality gave me the desire.

saturday was micah's final soccer game. it was very cold and at 9 am. the churched served pancakes and sausage for everyone. it was so nice of them. however, with the upper 30 degree temp, it didn't take long at all for the pancakes to get cold. there is nothing i hate worse than cold pancakes, but i didn't complain. it was such a sweet act of service from the church! the pancakes really paid off, because micah scored his first goal ever. he has made many assists, but never his own goal. he was so proud that he was almost embarrassed initially. we were ecstatic! after his game we came home and chilled for a while a nd then cleaned hose for our small group the next day.

that's all for now. love you all,
summer

Tell Micah meme said 'WAY TO GO'. We are so proud of him. Isn't it so fun to watch them play stuff like that. It really does give them so much confidence. I know how you feel about having people over. It's one of my favorite things. It's certainly our idea of out favorite entertainment...I love vacationing with friends too. Glad you found the great deals for xmas stockings. lol you can really fill them up...you girls always loved your stockings and usually it was mostly "junk", but junk you loved!
